Off to Loins Head on Eastern side of Georgian Bay

Hi F and F,
Sorry for delays , lousy wifi, but back again.
We left early around 8 am Winds at 10 kts  and choppy seas , not bad.
Bit of trivia to start. The Arrondeck chairs we see in th USA are also here in abundance specially around the  cottages They are called Muskoka chairs here in this part of Canada.
Saw nobody on our 4 hour journey over to Lions Head except for a sailboat out on the water.Arrived in a mast clear water in th Amina, shades of the Bahamas!
Tom and Lilie where there to pick us up at the dock and we headed off in their car to a small Marina in Oliphant. There we jumped into their runabout boat and over to Whiskey Island .
They share the island with two other families but have a large area where their lovely cottage sits.
After a tour of the cottage and grounds and Tom's worksheet (where he makes sailboats out of driftwood ) , we relaxed on the lower deck area by the water. The cottage is made of beautiful cedar wood inside and reminds us of the NZ Lockwood houses with wood everywhere, floors , walls and ceilings.
We met their daughter and son inlaw who are also staying , (a delightful couple) , plus their dog Rascal who was the perfect dog, he doesn't bark , doesn't bite and is very obedient and can do many ticks.
Erica fell in love with this furry friend!
Next off in the runabout, though narrow canals  on to another island , where their son is building a wonderful "cottage".
Just beautiful in these parts , very clear water with the sun shinning and clear skies .What a place to live! At least in the summertime!  Back to Whiskey Island and drinks on the deck .The guys all went out fishing to catch breakfast and came back with bass. Then we had a great dinner put on by Lilie and Michelle. Butter tarts for dessert to follow, very yummy.Sat round the dinner table chatting until it was time for bed.
Over and Out,
E and G on Lady Erica.
