Sorry last blog did not post , will try again.
Anyway , another lovely day in this wonderful harbor. First thing after breakfast we headed to the local farmers market and picked up some organic vegetables and salad items.
Then Erica went off her second paddle board experience.
She headed out after some advice from Jack at the Outfitters store ( where you can hire paddle boards and kayaks) Fortunately the water was fairly calm and she paddled out to the point past many lovely summer homes and boats and water toys anchored in the harbor.
One toy which intrigued was a large round inflatable trampoline with a slide on the side.
Must be the latest thing! Did a 2 hour session on the paddle board , very relaxing and good for upper arms workout.Although you do have to watch out for boaters who give off a big wake!
Back to the Boyer Glassworks to purchase a Monet colors bird Erica had seen yesterday While there Harry Boyer was just finishing making another bird , hot from the kiln and also got to see the vase he finished yesterday now a pretty blue and white colored piece. Harry has been doing this since the early 1970's .He now has two young apprentices which is great. Then lunch and out for a bike ride to Petosky State Park on the bike path.
We would have liked to have made it to Petosky but that was another 5 miles and we were only half way around the Bay. Again, we saw lovely homes looking out over the clear water which is truly like the Caribbean here !
At 5.30 pm we had the couple, (who know our friends in Florida ) Trude and Phil and their friends Anne and Gale on board for drinks.Lovely evening to sit out on the cockpit. Then we all drove off to the Harbor Springs golf course for dinner.
Great views from up there on the hill and we had a lovely meal and evening together.
Back to the boat and bed after a busy active day.
Over and out
E and G.
