Off to Summerside PEI

Hi F and F,
Finally a day dawned with no Wind!!
Before we left for the relatively short 3 1/2 to 4 hour journey, I went off the the 10 am Anglicn Church service in the St Peters Catherdral. It was a lovely old fashioned service using the comman book of prayer and a sung Eucharist. Such a nice peaceful and worshipful service.Good for my soul.We even sang God save the Queen! Haven't done that in years ! They even had lemonade on the lawn afterwards , so English!
I meet up with Graeme afterwards in Queen street , the Main Street here and we took in a historical video of the forming of the Canada Federation here in Charlottetown. The original Confrederation Hall is undergoing a 3 to 5 yr restoration . There was an urgency to form the joining of the areas of Canada before the Americans got their hands on the land.
We walked back to the boat and wandered past all the Farmers Market stalls.Graeme bight his lunch there on the way.
After lunch we headed off, in very light winds and a fairly calm waters up to Summerside. There were several lobster pots out in the Northumerland Strait , first we had seen in Canada, passed under a long confederation bridge, shades of the bay bridge on the Chesapeake Bay.
We arrived in at Siver Fox Marina and then the fun began. First we drained the dispel fuel
Got a nice dock but the 50 amp power connections had been newly installed with a metal pin in the center protruding out and we could not connect in power. After an hour and half of trying various computations using splinters and 30 amps, moving the boat  to a different dock area and with the telephone calls and help from some of the members here it was all worked out. An electrician finally came to the rescue.
We ended up using two 30 amps on a spilter ( something we have done many times ) to connect to our 50 amp connection and then these  two 30 amps had to be on extension cords to separate the power coming from two different zones!.Sounds complicated to you , it sure was for us! We are thankful for the persistence and help from this friendly YC
That was enough excitement for the day , so we relaxed and had an early night .
Over and Out,
S and S
