Hi Everyone,
Back to our departure. We have on board Jean and Gene for the journey North. They are happy to join us especially Gene as he has always wanted to do this trip on the ICW.We left Shelter Cove at HH at 10am on Broad Creek and made our way to the ICW. The weather was sunny but fairly windy with the dreaded NE direction not perfect for an ocean trip to Charleston we were hoping for.But as usual the ICW always works so we made our journey with no problem although it took 6 hours. The ICW was fairly quiet and as we had extra help on board ,I was able to relax and read a book for a time. We made lunch on the way also a luxury when the water is fairly calm. Spent the night in Charleston at the Bristol Marina, just up from the Charleston City Marina were we stayed on our way down. Bristol is a private marina but they do offer transient slips sometimes.Had a refreshing drink then headed off to Blossom another great city restaurant. Had a great meal, scallops, shrimp n grits , and collards.Good Southern cooking!
Early night to bed around 10 pm.
Over and Out from the Lady Erica.
