Hi Everyone ,
This morning we woke up to still waters and a mist hanging over the marsh. We had a 9.30 am leisurely start.the trip was very pleasant to Hilton Head.not much water traffic. Ar Lund an area called Thunderbolt so named by the American Indians, we struck lots of no wake zones but it was very pleasant. We passed to big boat manufacturers, Sea Ray and the more up scale Hinckley.Hickley use inboard jet engines invented by a New Zealander. Much of this stretch of Georgia was fairly windy as in meandering, but depths were fairly good. We entered Broad Creek at Hilton Head and docked in a nice slip facing a wooded Disney resort.Everything is very handy and once docked we were able to get our bikes out and explore the area.We have access to Palmento Dunes Resort which has golf and private beach. Also there is a well equipped gym 5 mins bike ride away which we are going to join for the month we are here.
So here we are til 27 th March and I must say it is nice to be staying put for awhile.
Over and Out
Erica and Graeme
